Trajektet Ruhrort–Homberg var en jernbanefærge over Rhinen mellem de nuværende bydele Ruhrort og Homberg i Duisburg.
Samtidig med bygningen af jernbanelinjen fra Köln via Duisburg til Minden af Köln-Mindener Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft fra 1843 til 1847 søgte de partnere, der var involveret i Ruhrort-Crefeld-Kreis Gladbacher Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft, efter en måde at bringe Ruhrkul billig til industrierne på den venstre Rhinske side.
