Schlaubemühlen ligger direkte ved L 43, der fører fra Eisenhüttenstadt til Friedland, i Naturpark Schlaubetal, mellem Groß Muckrow mod vest og Treppeln mod øst i Brandenburg.
Allerede i 1420 bliver møllen i Werchenow nævnt i en dokument. Møllen tilhørte først landsbyen Wirchenow og faldt efter dens forladthed til Treppeln. Den lå øst for Wirchensøen og blev nævnt som Schlaubemüllers land på den gamle landsbygrund ved Treppelns grænse. Grænsen mellem Treppeln og Henzendorf gik lige gennem landsbyerne, som blev kaldt Schlaubemüllers landsbyer. Møllen var forpligtet til at betale klosteret Neuzelle kvartalsvis elve scheffel korn som mølletaxa.
