El Schlaubemühle se encuentra directamente en la L 43 que va de Eisenhüttenstadt a Friedland, en el Parque Natural Schlaubetal, entre Groß Muckrow al oeste y Treppeln al este en Brandeburgo.
Ya en 1420 se menciona la mole en Werchenow en documentos oficiales. El molino pertenecía inicialmente al pueblo de Wirchenow y pasó a Treppeln tras la despoblación de aquel. Estaba al este del lago Wirchensee y se mencionaba como la tierra del molinero de Schlaubemühle en la antigua ubicación del pueblo en la frontera de Treppeln. La frontera entre Treppeln y Henzendorf pasaba por medio de los pueblos, que eran conocidos como los pueblos del molinero de Schlaubemühle. El molino estaba obligado a pagar una renta de molino al monasterio de Neuzelle de once schffel de grano trimestralmente.
