Naturområdet Waldbad Zeischa ligger i øst for den sydbrandenburgiske kurby Bad Liebenwerda mellem bydelene Dobra og Zeischa ved landevej 101. Midtpunktet i det område, der i øjeblikket stadig er under minedrift, er en cirka 80 hektar stor grusgrav.
I år 1888 begyndte den Liebenwerda-baserede købmand og fabrikant Carl Weiland nordøst for Zeischa at udvinde grus og sand. Udvindingen af råmaterialerne foregik først manuelt. Med den stigende produktion kom der også kædegravere i brug i graven. Transporten fra graven foregik via en markbane.
