Coesfeld, der indtil det 20. århundrede også blev skrevet Koesfeld, er en lille mellemstor by og hovedstad i Landkreis i delstaten Nordrhein-Westfalen i det vestlige Münsterland.
Landkreisbyen ligger i Münsterland, cirka 35 km vest for Münster. Med Coesfelder Berg ligger en del af byområdet i Baumbergen, hvor Berkel udspringer ved Billerbeck. Den flyder gennem Coesfeld og bliver der opstemmet ved Walkenbrückentor for at blive ført som en del af oversvømmelsen inden for voldene udenfor byens ring. Syd for Coesfeld ligger naturparken Hohe Mark-Westmünsterland.
