Borgen Königsberg blev bygget på en top over bydelen Königsberg i kommunen Biebertal i Landkreis Gießen i Hessen i midten af det 13. århundrede af greverne von Solms.
Oprettelsen af borgen på toppen går sandsynligvis tilbage til omkring 1240/50, da grevskabet Solms blev delt op i territorierne Solms-Königsberg, Solms-Burgsolms og Solms-Braunfels. Bygherren var sandsynligvis grev Marquard von Solms, der som forfader til linjen Solms-Königsberg havde brug for et eget slot til administrationen af sit herskab og som bolig. Det er dog også muligt, at borgen allerede eksisterede før og blot blev tildelt Marquard ved delingen. Marquards søn, Reimbold I. von Solms, var den første, der i 1257 kaldte sig grev af Cunigesberg efter sin residens på Burg Königsberg.
