Kleintabarz er den nordlige udkant af kommunen Bad Tabarz i Landkreis Gotha i Thüringen. Stedet skylder sin opståen vandkraften fra bækken Laucha. Kleintabarz berøres mod øst af Bundesstraße 88, og erhvervsområdet Am Jagdhaus adskiller bebyggelsen bestående af Langenhainer Straße og Friedhofsweg fra den 500 m sydligt beliggende bykerne Tabarz. Den geografiske højde for stedet er 370 m over havets overflade.
Et søgenkors ved markgrænsen til Langenhain er det ældste kendte historiske vidnesbyrd om Kleintabarz. Om Untermühle og et hertugligt jagthus, som tilhørte våbenhus fra slot Tenneberg ved Waltershausen, udviklede den første gang nævnte bydel Klein Tabarz sig i 1614. Med sammenlægningen af de der beliggende møller, fabrikker og det fattige hus i 1925 blev sammenslutningen af Klein-Tabarz og Groß-Tabarz til byen Tabarz gennemført.
