Kongens Nytorv er en plads i centrum af København. Den blev anlagt i 1670 af kong Christian V ved udvidelsen af byens murværk og har en rytterstatue i midten. Det er den største plads i byen. Kongens Nytorv ligger i slutningen af butikkerne på Strøget. På den anden side af pladsen begynder den kendte Nyhavn. Fra Kongens Nytorv fører flere bredere veje ind i byen. I metrostationen Kongens Nytorv har alle fire metrolinjer deres stop. For byggearbejdet på linjerne M3 og M4 skulle stationen renoveres og udvides, hvilket gjorde at Kongens Nytorv i en periode var delvist ufremkommelig.
