Huerta de Arriba er en landsby og en kommune[1] beliggende i provinsen Burgos, det autonome fællesskab Castilla og León, regionen Sierra de la Demanda, den retlige kreds Salas de los Infantes, hvor kommunens hovedsæde ligger. Den præhistoriske tilstedeværelse af mennesker er dokumenteret.[2] De første skriftlige oplysninger, vi har om oprindelsen af landsbyen, stammer fra befolkningsgenopretningsperioden i begyndelsen af det 10. århundrede, ifølge dokumenterne fra klosteret San Millán de la Cogolla og klosteret San Pedro de Arlanza.
