Besalú er en spansk kommune og lokalitet i provinsen Girona, i den autonome region Catalonien. Tilhørende til regionen La Garrocha har den en befolkning på 2502 indbyggere. Lokalitieten er et turistcenter takket være sin middelalderlige arkitektur.
Det oprindelige navn var Bisuldunum, og som navnet antyder, var det en fæstning mellem to floder: Fluviá i syd og Capellades i nord.
