Bañeres[1] [3] er en kommune i Valencia-regionen, Spanien. Den ligger i den nordlige del af provinsen Alicante, i området Hoya de Alcoy. Den havde 7.155 indbyggere i 2015 .[4]
Det antages, at toponymet har arabisk ophav, selvom det logisk set er baseret på en tidligere betegnelse, og det ville være i betegnelsen Beni-Hares, men ifølge Escolano er toponymet ældre, og arabere ville have kaldt det Bernirehes. Uanset hvad, er den første dokumentariske omtale fra 1249, og det optræder som Bigneres, selvom det i 1261, i en retssag med Bocairente, allerede er skrevet i sin valencianske form Banyeres.[2]
