Den ca. 1792 m høje Fuenfría-pas / Puerto de La Fuenfría krydser Sierra de Guadarrama. Det forbinder i tidligere tider romerbyerne Segobriga og Titulcia og dermed de frugtbare højder af det gamle og nye Kastilien; i dag er grusvejen lukket for normale personbiler og kan kun benyttes som vandre- eller cykelsti; om vinteren er der ofte sneforbud.
