Det var en af de tre pladser, der gav anledning til byen Albacete, beliggende på de tre højeste punkter i den manchegiske by, hvor der blev opført to fæstninger.[1] Beliggende på en gammel bakke, i en højere højde i forhold til omgivelserne, er den gågade og tilgængelig via trapper og ramper. Den huser den sydlige facade af katedralen San Juan de Albacete og monumentet for Jomfruen af Llanos. Den får sit navn til ære for Jomfruen af Llanos, byens skytshelgen.
