Châteldon er en middelalderlandsby i den nordlige del af Auvergne. Den stammer fra tidlig middelalder, med mange af dens bygninger, der går tilbage til det 14. århundrede. Byens befæstninger er stadig synlige.
Landsbyen ligger på den vestlige kant af Montagne Bourbonnaise og den nordlige kant af Livradois-Forez Regional Natural Park, den største naturpark i Europa. Mod vest ligger Limagne, hvor floderne Allier og Dore mødes. Nitten kilometer mod nord ligger byen Vichy.
