For Port-en-Bessin-Huppain ligger en bugt, med en bølgebryder rundt om. Denne bugt er udsat for tidevand og tørrer ud ved lavvande. Havnen selv er beskyttet af en sluse. Denne åbner to timer før højvande og lukker to timer efter højvande. Derefter er det ikke muligt at sejle ind eller ud af havnen, indtil næste højvande. Fra havnen organiseres der rundfarter, blandt andet til den nærliggende Arromanches.
