En landsby i Pays de Caux, beliggende ca. 32 miles nordøst for Le Havre, ved krydset af D10, D17, D28 og D69 vejene. Landsbyen er omgivet af skov. Lige uden for landsbyen, ved ''Le Vivier'', findes kilden til floden Valmont. Kommunen blev oprettet i 1822 og 1825 ved sammenlægning af fire tidligere sogne: Valmont, Saint-Ouen-au-Bosc, Rouxmesnil og Le Bec-au-Cauchois. I 1169 blev klosteret Notre-Dame-du-Pre grundlagt her af Nicolas af Estouteville. Det blev ødelagt under Hundredårskrigen, men blev repareret og blev et nonnekloster. I 1416 fandt slaget ved Valmont sted nær byen som en del af Hundredårskrigen.
