Abbediet Saint-Riquier i den franske kommune Saint-Riquier opstod i den merovingiske tid, da munke fra Wales, som var blevet uddannet i Irland, i det 6. århundrede prædikede evangeliet i Picardiet og omvendte mange til kristendommen.
En af deres omvendte var Richarius, Rikier eller Rijker. Han var en præst og grundlæggeren af abbediet Saint-Riquier. Han blev æret som en helgen og er i dag bedre kendt som Saint Riquier.
