An den Pforten zum Tal der Vézère, nur 17 km von Montignac und der Höhle von Lascaux entfernt, befinden sich die "Imaginären Gärten" (Les jardins de l'Imaginaire). Sie sind weitaus mehr, als nur ein Garten! Diese zeitgenössische Anlage, einzigartig in Europa, wurde von der amerikanischen Landschafts-Architektin Kathryn Gustafson entworfen. Die auf über 6 ha terrassenförmig angelegten Gärten laden Sie zu einem außergewöhnlichen Spaziergang ein, um die universelle Kunst der Gartengestaltung zu erleben.
Während Ihres Rundgangs, der am Ufer der Vézère entlang durch die Altstadt führt, erfahren Sie auf 13 Tafeln mehr über die Art und Weise, wie der Mensch empfindet und fühlt.
Eine Ausstellung im Gewächshaus über Niwaki - eine japanische Art der Baumbeschneidung - vervollständigt Ihren Besuch. Auszeichnung "Bemerkenswerter Garten" und "Kulturerbe des 20. Jahrhunderts.
