Rheinbroen Breisach strakte i middelalderen over Rhinen ved Breisach. Den var allerede til stede i 1263 og var i højmiddelalderen den eneste faste rhinske bro mellem Basel og Nordsøen. En afbildning fra 1555 viser den hvilende på pæle, uden gelænder og uden svingbro. På den nærmeste rhinske ø stod der i 1555 et firsidet belltårn, der vogtede og forsvarede adgangen til broen. Ligesom Lange Bruck ved Strasbourg brugte den en rhinsk ø til krydsning af floden og havde på den modsatte bred en brohoved.
