Kapucinerne i Vieux-Brisach forlod byen i 1697 som følge af dens tilknytning til det Hellige Romerske Imperium. De ankom til Colmar og byggede, takket være indsamlinger i bispedømmet, et kloster i 1700.
Ved revolutionen blev fællesskabet, som talte omkring tredive medlemmer, opløst, og deres ejendomme blev konfiskeret. Ejendommen blev solgt i 1796 og blev ejet af en købmand og en landmand. Kirken blev derefter omdannet til en lade, der indeholdt en presse i sit kor.
