Op 40 minuten van Bordeaux, in het hart van de middeleeuwse bastide van Cadillac, werd het kasteel van de "Demi-Roi", 1e hertog van Epernon, gebouwd in het begin van de 17e eeuw. Deze jongeman uit Gascogne, voorloper van de musketiers, zette zijn fortuin in. Wandel hier in de voetsporen van koningen Louis XIII en Louis XIV, kardinalen Richelieu en Mazarin, Anne van Oostenrijk en Molière..
Vijftien jaar restauratie hebben het veranderd. Bewonder de monumentale schouwen, de geschilderde decoraties en een uitzonderlijke collectie historische wandtapijten. En loop ook door wat een verschrikkelijke gevangenis was voor vrouwen van de 19e eeuw tot de jaren 1950. Een historische bestemming in de Bordeaux streek, met een fascinerende bestemming.
