The chapel of Sainte-Vérène (protector of domestic animals) is a spiritual landmark in the Bitche region. It is thought to have been built between 1400 and 1500, before being enlarged several times. A popular place of pilgrimage today, the interior of the chapel houses several statues of saints, including one of Sainte-Vérène with a comb in her hand.
