Kingston upon Thames er en by og kommune, der nu ligger inden for Stor-London, England, tidligere inden for grevskabet Surrey. Den ligger ved floden Thames, cirka 10 meter over havets overflade og 10 miles sydvest for Charing Cross. Den er bemærkelsesværdig som den gamle markedby, hvor saxiske konger blev kronet, og i dag er det det administrative centrum for Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames.
Den store historiske sogn Kingston blev i moderne tid absorberet i den kommunale by Kingston-upon-Thames, reformeret i 1835, og fra 1893 har det været stedet for Surrey County Hall, ekstraterritorielt i forhold til lokalregeringsadministrationen. Siden 1965 har Kingston været en del af Stor-London.
