Aberystwyth er en by i Wales, i det administrative grevskab Ceredigion og det ceremonielle bevaringsgrevskab Dyfed.
Kystbyen ligger ved udmundingen af Ystwyth og Rheidol i Cardigan Bay, en bugt af Den Irske Sø. Aberystwyth har omkring 18.000 indbyggere, der er ingen byer af nogen størrelse i den omkringliggende område. Det er en historisk markedby, med mange moderne bygninger, men også et betydeligt antal historiske, såsom ruinen af et 13. århundredes slot.
