Abbots Leigh er en landsby og civil parish i North Somerset, England, cirka 3 miles vest for centrum af Bristol.
Det oprindelige mellemengelske navn var Lega, og landsbyen blev Abbots Leigh i midten af det 12. århundrede, da Robert Fitzharding købte godset, efter at han var blevet belønnet som Lord of the Manor of Portbury af kongen. Han købte også godserne Bedminster, Hareclive og Billeswick. Han fortsatte med at grundlægge Abbey of St Augustine på det, der tidligere var Billeswick, og testamenterede indkomsten fra sognet til at støtte abbeyet. På grund af denne forbindelse til abbeyet, da bispedømmet Bristol blev skabt ud af Bath og Wells, Gloucester og Worcester bispedømmernes territorier, blev den nye bispedømmets grænse trukket for at inkludere sognet, inklusive den saksiske indhegning ved Hamgreen, som havde været en del af Portbury godsets jorder indtil da. Alle de omgivende sogne i Somerset ligger i Bath og Wells bispedømmet.
