Floden Exe i England har sin kilde ved Exe Head, nær landsbyen Simonsbath, på Exmoor i Somerset, 8,4 kilometer fra Bristol Kanal kysten, men løber mere eller mindre direkte mod syd, så det meste af dens længde ligger i Devon. Den løber i 60 miles og når havet ved en betydelig ria, Exe Estuary, på den sydlige kyst af Devon. Historisk set var dens laveste bropunkt den gamle Exe Bridge i Exeter, den største bosættelse ved floden, men der er nu en viadukt for M5 motorvejen cirka 3 kilometer syd for byens centrum.
