Lake Avernus er en vulkansk kratersø beliggende i Avernus-krateret i Campania-regionen i det sydlige Italien, omkring 4 kilometer vest for Pozzuoli. Den ligger nær det vulkanske område kendt som Phlegraean Fields og udgør en del af den bredere campanske vulkanske bue. Søen er groft sagt cirkulær, med en omkreds på to kilometer og en dybde på 60 meter.
