Det er det første land, man møder, når man kører op fra Dervio langs vejen gennem Valvarrone. Det hænger næsten fast på skråningerne af bjerget og præsenterer sig delvist med gamle stenhuse, der er blandet med de moderniserede.
Som en del af Monte d'Introzzo blev Vestreno senere til et len under Dal Verme og en ejendom af Sfondrati.
