Rådhuset i Certaldo ligger på Piazza Boccaccio.
Certaldo har været kendt for sine særlige løg siden middelalderen. Boccaccio, hvem ellers, har allerede skrevet om det i sit Decamerone. Løget kan endda findes i våbenskjoldet for Certaldo. Der er to sorter: "Statina", et rundt løg med violet farve og en blød, sød smag, og "Vernina", et løg med en intens rød farve og en skarp smag. Statina bruges ofte til at lave et typisk produkt fra Certaldo: Marmellata di Cipolla, et løgsyltetøj, der for eksempel er virkelig lækkert i kombination med Pecorino-ost.
