Aktuelt under opførelse, har den en vigtig busterminal samt centret Émile-Hamilius, et kontorbyggeri fra 1970'erne; nedrevet i 2015 for at give plads, ligesom pladsen i sig selv, til projektet "Royal-Hamilius". Den 27. september 2018 åbner den nye Royal Hamilius parkeringsplads sine døre i hjertet af hovedstaden. Den tilbyder 628 ekstra parkeringspladser, som vil bidrage til at løse parkeringsproblemerne i centrum.
