Grootegast ) , er en tidligere kommune i det nordlige Holland, i Westerkwartier i provinsen Groningen, opkaldt efter den navngivne hovedby Grootegast. Kommunen havde et areal på 88,29 km². Den 31. december 2018 havde Grootegast 12.191 indbyggere. Kommunen blev dannet i 1990 ved sammenlægningen af den tidligere kommune Oldekerk med Grootegast. I 2013 blev der på baggrund af rådgivningen Grenzeloos Grunnen i provinsen Groningen iværksat et forløb mod en kommunal sammenlægning. Heri blev der foreslået at sammenlægge kommunerne Grootegast, Leek, Marum og Zuidhorn til kommunen Westerkwartier. Kommunerne blev fusioneret den 1. januar 2019. Heri blev der også lagt en del af kommunen Winsum til.
