Klundert er en hollandsk befæstning by i kommunen Moerdijk, i provinsen Noord-Brabant. Klundert ligger mellem Zevenbergen, Moerdijk og Fijnaart. Omkring 1250 opstod, beliggende ved gunstig sejl vand, landsbyen Die Overdraghe. Det lå ved en lille flod med samme navn, mellem Mark og 'Buttervliet', som senere ville vokse til Hollandsk Diep. Da floden sanderede, blev der gravet et nyt sejlvand: De Niewervaert. Landsbyen fik derefter navnet Niervaart.
