Achthuizen er en lille landsby i kommunen Goeree-Overflakkee, i den nederlandske provins Zuid-Holland. Landsbyen har 1.075 indbyggere. I gamle arkiver nævnes Achthuizen nogle gange som et hus ved Ooltgensplaat. Navnet Achthuizen skulle stamme fra en bygning, der stod i landsbyen, og som bestod af otte huse, beregnet til landarbejdere fra Nord-Brabant. Mange af disse brabantiske sæsonarbejdere blev boende på dette sted. Dette forklarer, hvorfor landsbyen for det meste var katolsk og stadig er det.
