Ameland; Standardfrisian: It Amelân) er fra vest regnet det fjerde beboede hollandske vadeø, og det tilhører provinsen Friesland. Hele øen falder under én kommune, som bærer samme navn. Vadeøen, og dermed kommunen, tæller 3.743 indbyggere og har et samlet areal på 268,50 km², hvoraf 59,11 km² er land og 209,39 km² er vand.
