Langs kanalerne i Woerden kan man lave en smuk rundtur; på volde er der blandt andet indrettet stadsparker og kirkegårde. Den stjerneformede struktur af fæstningen er helt intakt.
DetWestdamparkvar tidligere et bastion med en adgangsvej. Der er ikke mere at se af bastionen, da indre grav er blevet fyldt op. De tidligere befæstninger fik forskellige nye funktioner. Således ligger der i parken blandt andet en jødisk kirkegård fra 1856 og et monumentalt vandtårn.
