Kirken var oprindeligt helliget Sankt Anna. Kirken har en indbygget gavltårn fra omkring 1200 og et romansk-gotisk skib fra det 13. århundrede. Klokkerne blev støbt i 1616. I det 18. århundrede blev det femsidede afsluttede kor bygget, taget renoveret og tårnet forsynet med en ny topgesims. Koret blev ved restaureringen fra 1939-‘42 tilpasset i pseudo-romansk-gotisk stil under ledelse af A. Baart sr.
