Den tidligere Van Nelle-fabrik ved Delfshavense Schie i Rotterdam anses som det vigtigste industrielle monument i Nederlandene. Dette er ligeledes anerkendt globalt, da det i juni 2014 blev erklæret som UNESCO verdensarv. Den tidligere fabrik fra firmaet Van Nelle, designet af Leendert van der Vlugt fra arkitektfirmaet Brinkman & Van der Vlugt i samarbejde med ingeniør Jan Wiebenga, er et skoleeksempel på det nye byggeri.
