Merwede er en tidevandsflod i de nederlandske provinser Zuid-Holland og Noord-Brabant. Den udgør den nedre del af floden Waal og tilhører de vigtigste strømme i Rhinedeltaet. Fra 1273 til 1904 var Merwede også den vigtigste nedre del af Maas, indtil den sidste flod blev dæmmet ved Andel, efter at Bergsche Maas blev gravet.
