Slottet Limbricht ligger nær skove og i udkanten af den samme landsby Limbricht, som i dag tilhører kommunen Sittard-Geleen og er et beskyttet kulturmindemerk. Borgkomplekset ligger inden for en bred grav og består af en borg og en borggård som forborg. Slottet er en helt kældet firfløjet kvadratisk bygning omkring en lille gård. Anlægget er et sjældent eksempel på en jordhøjborg, en borg på en kunstigt hævet bakke. Den høje med den dertil liggende borg ligger som en ø i gravens vand.
