El castillo de Limbricht se encuentra cerca de bosques y en el borde del pueblo homónimo de Limbricht, que hoy pertenece al municipio de Sittard-Geleen y es un monumento cultural protegido. La instalación del castillo está dentro de un amplio foso y consiste en un castillo y un patio como antecastillo. El castillo es un edificio cuadrado de cuatro alas completamente subterráneo que rodea un pequeño patio. El recinto es un ejemplo raro de un castillo de motte, un castillo en una colina artificialmente elevada. La motte con el castillo sobre ella se encuentra como una isla en el foso.
