Il castello di Limbricht si trova vicino a boschi e al margine dell'omonimo villaggio di Limbricht, che oggi fa parte del comune di Sittard-Geleen ed è un monumento culturale protetto. Il complesso del castello si trova all'interno di un ampio fossato ed è composto da un castello e da un cortile del castello come cortile anteriore. Il castello è un edificio quadrato a quattro ali completamente sotterraneo attorno a un piccolo cortile. Il complesso è un raro esempio di una motte, un castello su un tumulo artificiale. La motte con il castello sopra si trova come un'isola nel fossato.
