Kirken i Vierlingsbeek har et fritstående tårn, en såkaldt campanile. Siden år 1000 har der allerede stået en stenekirke i Vierlingsbeek. Kirken blev desværre helt ødelagt i 1944. Kirken skylder sit navn til H. Laurentius. Af det faktum, at kirken var indviet til Laurentius, kan man forsigtigt slutte, at landsbyen allerede i det syvende århundrede havde en kirke; mange gamle Laurentiuskirker stammer fra den tid.
