Van Leydenhof er et naturområde ved Kijkduin på den sydlige side af Den Haag. Det forvaltes af Zuid-Hollands Landschap, som også forvalter Westduinen på Goeree og Langeveld ved Langevelderslag.
Efter den sidste istid får smeltevand midlertidigt havniveauet til at stige. Omkring 3000 år siden kom det stabile niveau tilbage, og den hollandske kyst begyndte igen at vokse. Unge klitter opstod. Mellem de unge og gamle klitter dannedes et tørvelag, hvorfor Den Haag delvist ligger på sandbakker og delvist på tørvemark.
