Kortgene er en by og tidligere kommune på Nord-Beveland, i den hollandske provins Zeeland. Antallet af indbyggere er 1.910. Kortgene nævnes først som sogn i 1247. Kirken, der er viet til den H. Jomfru, tilhørte kapitlet af Sankt Peter i Utrecht. Philips af Borssele lod i 1413 bygge en ny kirke, men ved branden i 1423 gik landsbyen og kirken helt til grunde. Kortgenere byggede landsbyen op igen, og i 1431 kom omtalen "die stede van Cortkene" for første gang på papir.
