21 Bænk på Sint Barbarastraat i Griendtsveen
Bænk med udsigt til en kanalafkørsel og bag Villa Spagnum. I svinget af Barbarastraat.
Et roligt sted i denne engang urolige landsby - Griendtsveen blev grundlagt i 1885 som fabriklandsby. I tørvefabrikken og i Peel udførte nogle tusinde arbejdere hårdt arbejde. Tørv var et meget eftertragtet produkt. Der opstod boliger for tørvarbejdere og familie, butikker, en lille skole og en kirke. Aktiviteten fra tidligere har givet plads til den nuværende fredelige atmosfære - landsbyen ånder stemningen fra dengang, men har tilpasset sig tidens udviklinger.
