Phocaea eller Phokaia var en gammel ionisk græsk by ved den vestlige kyst af Anatolien. Græske kolonister fra Phocaea grundlagde kolonien Massalia i 600 f.Kr., Emporion i 575 f.Kr. og Elea i 540 f.Kr.
Phocaea var den nordligste af de ioniske byer, på grænsen til Aeolis. Den lå nær udmundingen af floden Hermus og var beliggende på kysten af halvøen, der adskiller Den Cyme'ske Bugt mod nord, opkaldt efter den største af de aeoliske byer, og Smyrna-bugten mod syd.
