Der Dösener See ist ein etwa 13 Hektar großer See im Nationalpark Hohe Tauern im österreichischen Bundesland Kärnten. Er liegt auf einer Höhe von 2270 m ü. A. im Gemeindegebiet von Mallnitz.Der Dösener See markiert das Ende des in Mallnitz beginnenden, etwa 7 Kilometer langen Dösentals. Er liegt etwa 9 Kilometer von der Ortschaft entfernt. Im Norden, Süden und Osten ist er von einem Gebirgszug mit steil abfallenden Hängen umgeben. Der höchste Gipfel hiervon ist das Säuleck mit 3086 m ü. A.
