Die Zentralanstalt für Meteorologie und Geodynamik ist der staatliche meteorologische und geophysikalische Dienst Österreichs, der nach seiner Adresse auch Hohe Warte genannt wird.Sie ist eine nachgeordnete Dienststelle des Bundesministeriums für Bildung, Wissenschaft und Forschung. Die Zentrale der ZAMG befindet sich in Wien-Döbling, Hohe Warte 38. In Salzburg, Innsbruck, Graz und Klagenfurt ist die ZAMG durch Kundenservice-Stellen vertreten. Die Zentralanstalt für Meteorologie und Geodynamik hat umfangreiche gesetzliche Aufgaben zu erfüllen und kann im Rahmen der Teilrechtsfähigkeit auch privatrechtlich agieren.
