Die March ist ein linker Nebenfluss der Donau in Mitteleuropa. Sie entwässert etwa drei Viertel des nach ihr benannten Mähren und ist dessen Hauptfluss.In ihrem Unterlauf begleitet sie beidseits ein Hochwasserdamm. Sie ist Grenzfluss zwischen Tschechien und der Slowakei sowie zwischen Österreich und der Slowakei . Die Luftlinie dieser Strecken beträgt wegen der vielen Mäander des Flusses nur 37 bzw. 50 km.
