Die Mauer wurde 14 Mal in der Ronde van Vlaanderen befahren. In den 1950er Jahren vollständig mit Kopfsteinpflaster, seit 1970 zunächst 325 Meter Asphaltstraße und danach Kopfsteinpflaster. Der Anstieg hat einen Höhenunterschied von 68 Metern (Gipfel auf 101 Metern), ein durchschnittliches Steigungsniveau von 9,1 % mit einem Maximum von 20 %. Aufgrund der chaotischen Szenen in den Jahren 1950-1952 (wie sie der Koppenberg später erlebte) wurde danach nur die Kloosterstraat erklommen (bis einschließlich 1969). 1981 kommt die Schleife um die Kapelle auf dem Gipfel hinzu, die Schleife hat einen Anstieg von maximal 17 %. Der Höhenunterschied beträgt jetzt 77 Meter und das durchschnittliche Steigungsniveau 9,3 %.
